    tabs are already addressable through urls, the problem is: how to publicize such an url ?

    what's missing? don't you want ?tab=<tabid>, that we already have?

    You can't easily get a perma-link for tab. We had a patch that allow "right-click > copy-link" with auc but he got lost somehow.
